QESCO, the Quetta Electric Supply Company, a Public Limited Company, is committed to providing reliable electricity to its customers. We are currently seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill several key positions under our jurisdiction. These positions are offered on a lump sum (contractual) basis. All quotas, including the 20% Employees Children Quota, will be observed as per QESCO and Government of Pakistan Ministry of Energy (Power Division) policies, where applicable.
Job Vacancies and Requirements
1. Audit Assistant (BPS-15)
Qualifications and Experience:
- B.Com preferably with Auditing and Advanced Accountings as a special subject, OR
- B.A or B.Sc from a recognized university with three years of experience in Audit and Accounts of a Government Department, Semi-Government Department, Corporation, Autonomous Body, or a Commercial Organization of repute.
Age Limit: 18-33 years as on the closing date.
Quota Allocation:
- Open Merit (Balochistan Local/Domicile) = 5
- Employee Children Quota = 1
- Women Quota = 1
2. Line Superintendent-I (BPS-15)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Three-year course diploma from a Government Polytechnic Institute or equivalent qualifications.
- Six weeks I.T. Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by NITB/TEVTA institutions affiliated with recognized Board of Technical Education/Higher Education Commission.
- One year experience in a supervisory post in any electric supply undertaking or electrical concern of repute engaged in the construction of transmission and distribution works.

3. Line Superintendent-II (BPS-14)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Three-year diploma of Associate Engineering in Electrical/Electronic Technology from any recognized Government Polytechnic Institute with First Division.
Age Limit: 18-33 years as on the closing date.

- Open Merit (Balochistan Local/Domicile) = 84

4. Meter Reader (BPS-09)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (in Arts, Commerce, or Science) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit: 18-33 years as on the closing date.
Quota Allocation:
- Open Merit (Balochistan Local/Domicile) = 30
- Employee Children Quota = 9
- Women Quota = 5
- Minority = 2
- Disabled = 1
5. Assistant Lineman (ALM) (BPS-05)
Qualifications:
- Matriculation Only (Minimum & Maximum).
Age Limit: 18-33 years as on the closing date.
Quota Allocation:
- Open Merit (Balochistan Local/Domicile) = 618
- Employee Children Quota = 165
- Minority = 41
Physical Parameters and Tests:
- Minimum Height: 5 ft. 4 inches.
- Minimum Chest: 32 inches.
- Weight: As per Body Mass Index Chart (BMI) +5% relaxation on the upper side.
- Skill Test: General knowledge-based.
- Physical Tests: Running (800 meters in five minutes), Push-ups (20 in a single attempt), Lifting weight (30 kg in a single attempt), Digging (1 ditch of length, depth, width 2x2x2), Climbing skills (Tower/Ladder up to 10 feet), Pulling of wires (one span of 100 feet).
Instructions and General Conditions
- Contractual Basis: The mentioned positions are on a lump sum (contractual) basis with extensions based on performance appraisal.
- Local/Domicile Requirement: Only candidates with Balochistan Local/Domicile are eligible, except for Employee Children Quota.
- Application Form: Candidates must use the appropriate application form available on the CTSP website for shortlisting/selection.
- Eligibility for ALM: Only candidates who have completed their Matriculation Certificate are eligible for ALM. Higher qualification candidates are not eligible.
- Screening and Testing: Recruitment involves screening of physical parameters, skill tests (minimum 50% marks), physical tests (minimum 50% marks), and interviews.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for tests or interviews.
- Employee Children Quota: Selection will be in order of merit as per QESCO’s fixed categories.
- Disabled Quota: Candidates must attach a disability certificate from the relevant assessment board.
- Result Awaiting Candidates: Not eligible to apply.
- Posting: Selected candidates can be posted anywhere under QESCO’s jurisdiction.
- Incomplete Applications: Will be rejected.
- Document Verification: Original documents must be presented at the time of final selection.
- CTSP Queries: Candidates may contact CTSP for queries related to tests and selection processes.
- Background Check: Candidates with criminal records or dismissed/screened-out employees of any organization are not eligible.
- Concealment of Facts: Will lead to disqualification.
- Recruitment Process: QESCO reserves the right to withhold or modify the recruitment process at any stage.
- Number of Posts: QESCO reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts.
How to Apply
- Application Submission: Send the complete prescribed application form to CTSP at Plot No. 140, Street 9, Sector-1-103 Islamabad. UAN: (051) 111 004 455.
- Application Form Availability: Forms are available on the CTSP website (www.ctsp.com.pk).
- Mobile Phones: Not allowed in test centers.
- Submission Method: Applications submitted by hand will not be entertained.
- Application Fee: Submit the application form with a test fee of Rs. 110 in favor of Career Testing Service Pakistan, a copy of CNIC, and two recent passport-size photographs to CTSP through courier within 15 days of advertisement publication.
- Multiple Posts: Separate fees and application forms are required for each post. The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Fee Payment: The 50% test fee of Rs. 55/- is borne by the candidate, and 50% by QESCO.
- Roll Number Slips: CTSP will upload roll number slips on its website and inform candidates via SMS.
