The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is seeking qualified and dedicated professionals to join its team. PCAA is a premier organization responsible for the regulation and oversight of civil aviation in Pakistan, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient air travel. Position: Assistant Director MET (Inspector) (EG-01)

Number of Positions: 01

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Meteorology from a recognized institution.
• Specialized Training: Must have completed the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists (BIP-M).
• Experience: At least two years of progressively responsible experience in meteorology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in aviation MET forecasting at a Meteorological Watch Office (MWO).
• Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of MWO ICAO documents and technical regulations is essential.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS) is preferable.

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (Age relaxation will be applicable as per Federal Government Rules)

Quota: Merit-based

Pay Scale: Basic Pay Scale Rs. 56,280 – 168,880/- (Initial Gross Salary Rs. 197,689/- negotiable)

Responsibilities:

• Aviation MET Forecasting: Provide accurate and timely meteorological information and forecasts for aviation operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to ICAO documents and technical regulations related to meteorological services.
• Quality and Safety Management: Implement and maintain QMS and SMS protocols within the meteorological department.
• Coordination: Work closely with other aviation stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of meteorological observations and forecasts, and prepare necessary reports for regulatory bodies.
