Career Opportunity as Chief Executive Officer at SEPCO

The Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO), a leading public sector power distribution company in upper Sindh, has announced an exciting career opportunity for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). SEPCO, known for delivering reliable and sustainable electricity services, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who will drive strategic development, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction across the region. The position is based at SEPCO’s headquarters in Sukkur, and the CEO will report to SEPCO’s Board of Directors.


Key Responsibilities

The CEO will play a critical role in shaping SEPCO’s vision, mission, and goals while leading the company through growth and development. Major responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define the direction and align it with SEPCO’s long-term goals.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Policy Compliance: Implement strategies in line with the company’s policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Develop strategies to meet customer needs and enhance service delivery.
  • Transparency and Accountability: Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to promote SEPCO’s interests.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Minimum 16 years of education in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 20 years of experience, with at least 7 years in the Power Sector (Distribution and Supply).
    • Leadership experience in a senior position within the industry or relevant areas.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
    • Proficiency in risk management, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Preferred Qualifications:
    • A candidate holding an MBA or Engineering degree and commercial management experience is preferred.
    • Proven track record in operational management, regulatory compliance, and resource allocation.

Pay Package

The CEO will receive a lump sum pay package according to SEPCO’s executive pay scales, which includes base salary and other perks per the company’s policies. The detailed pay package will be negotiated upon hiring.


Tenure and Nature of Employment

The position is offered on a contract basis for an initial term of three years, extendable for up to two more years based on performance. Renewal of the contract will be contingent upon the approval of SEPCO’s Board.
