The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is seeking experienced professionals for positions in the Human Resources Department based in Karachi.
Available Positions
Deputy Director (OG-3) / Assistant Director (OG-2)
Key Responsibilities
- HR Policy Development: Assist in creating HR policies, mechanisms, SOPs, and proposals in areas like talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, training, employee services, employee relations, and diversity & inclusion.
- Recruitment & Selection: Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes.
- Employee On-boarding: Plan and administer onboarding programs.
- Policy Implementation: Collaborate with departments to aid line managers and officers in effectively implementing policies and procedures.
- Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and disbursement of salaries and benefits.
- Tax Processing: Handle income tax matters, including calculations, reimbursement claims, and issuance of tax and salary certificates.
- Retirement Benefits: Calculate and process retirement benefits and final settlements.
- Staff Loans & Advances: Process staff loan and advance cases in accordance with rules and policies.
- Travel & Education Payments: Manage travel-related payments, education payments, and scholarship matters.
- Pension Disbursement: Ensure timely disbursement of monthly pensions and calculate entitlements for separated employees.
- Leave Processing: Handle leave cases and issue relevant communications.
- System Monitoring: Monitor and coordinate system-related issues and enhancements in the leave system.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management Sciences, Public Administration, or IT from an HEC recognized domestic or foreign university.
- Preference for candidates with HR-related certifications.

Age (as of the advertisement date):
- OG-3: Maximum 38 years
- OG-2: Maximum 32 years
- Age relaxation may be allowed for additional relevant experience and certifications.
Experience:
- OG-3: Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience.
- OG-2: Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in business writing, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
- IT and numeracy skills for managing computerized payroll and benefits systems.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to compile and interpret statistical data professionally.
- Influencing and negotiating skills for policy implementation.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload.
