The Prime Minister of Pakistan has unveiled the Wazir-e-Azam Ramadan Relief Package for the year 2024, aiming to extend a 30 percent discount on 19 essential food items to deserving and low-income households throughout Ramadan. Increasing the Ramadan Relief Package Budget to 12 Billion Rupees:

Originally set at seven billion rupees, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced an increase to 12 billion rupees. The government has simplified the process by introducing online registration for the Ramadan ration package. Interested individuals can avail themselves of this program by sending their National Identity Card number to 5566 from their mobile phones. Upon completion, individuals will be included in the Ramadan relief package and can collect their ration from the nearest utility store by presenting the confirmation SMS. Eligible individuals will receive a 50 percent discount on 19 essential items.
