The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has announced exciting job opportunities for highly qualified individuals, inviting applications from Pakistani nationals for the positions of Professor and Assistant Professor on a regular, contract, or Tenure Track System (TTS) basis. These vacancies are available in the Department of Siraiki and the University College of Nursing (UCN).

- Professor (BPS-21) – Siraiki Department
- Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – University College of Nursing
Eligibility Criteria for Professor (Siraiki Department):
To qualify for the post of Professor (BPS-21) in the Siraiki Department, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- PhD degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 18 years of teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized institution, with at least 15 research publications in HEC-recognized journals.
- For Tenure Track System (TTS) appointments, the candidate must have a PhD with at least 11 years of post-PhD experience and a minimum of 15 research publications.
Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professor (Nursing College):
- For the Assistant Professor (BPS-19) position, candidates must hold qualifications like RN, RM, MSN, MS, MPH, or MPhil with 3-5 years of experience in teaching, research, or administration.
- At least 2 publications in recognized nursing or health sciences journals are required, along with a valid Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) license.

To apply, candidates must:
- Submit their applications online through the IUB website at eportal.iub.edu.pk by October 4, 2024.
- Pay the non-refundable fee of Rs. 5000 for Professor positions and Rs. 3000 for Assistant Professor positions.
- Candidates will also be required to submit 5 copies of their applications, CV, and relevant documents.
Hard copies of the application must reach the Registrar’s office by October 7, 2024.
Important Notes:
- Applicants should submit a valid equivalence certificate for foreign qualifications issued by the HEC and PNC where applicable.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview; no TA/DA will be provided.
