SPSC Job Opportunities: How to Apply for Various Positions in Sindh
Introduction SPSC
The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has released Consolidated Advertisement No. 06/2024, dated 19th July 2024, inviting online applications for various posts in different departments of the Government of Sindh.
Available Positions and Requirements
Assistant Inspector (BPS-09) in the Home Department
Qualification and Age Limit:
- Candidates must possess a 2nd class Bachelor’s Degree in any subject.
- The age limit for applicants is 21-28 years.
Physical Requirements:
- Male:
- Minimum Height: 5’5″
- Minimum Chest: 33″-34″
- Running: 1600 meters in 08 minutes
- Female:
- Minimum Height: 5’0″
- Running: 800 meters in 14 minutes
Post Distribution: The positions are distributed across various ranges as follows:
- Hyderabad Range: 454 male and 100 female positions, including minority quotas.
- Mirpurkhas Range: 80 male and 15 female positions, including minority quotas.
- Shaheed Benazirabad Range: 48 male and 9 female positions, including minority quotas.
- Sukkur Range: 152 male and 29 female positions, including minority quotas.
- Larkana Range: 59 male and 11 female positions, including minority quotas.
- Karachi Range: 754 male and 141 female positions, including minority quotas.
Reader (BPS-17) in the Appellate Tribunal, Sindh Revenue Board under Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution Department
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2nd Division from a recognized University.
- Five years of experience with any Law Firm or Government Department, preferably with Court or Tribunal.
Skills:
- Knowledge of MS Office and experience in the use of a computer.
Age Limit:
- 23-35 years
Quota:
- Open Merit (Male/Female): 2 positions
Assistant (BPS-16) in the Appellate Tribunal, Sindh Revenue Board under Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution Department
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2nd Division from a recognized University.
- Knowledge of MS Office and experience in the use of a computer.
Age Limit:
- 21-30 years
Quota:
- Open Merit (Male/Female): 1 position
Stenographer (BPS-16) in the Appellate Tribunal, Sindh Revenue Board under Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution Department
Qualification and Skills:
- Graduate with at least 2nd Division from a recognized University.
- Certificate in shorthand and typing from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE).
- Speed of 120/40 words per minute in Shorthand and Typing, respectively.
- Knowledge of MS Office and experience in the use of a computer.
Age Limit:
- 21-30 years

- Open Merit (Male/Female): 1 position
Important Instructions for Applicants
Online Fee Submission: SPSC has implemented an online fee submission process to simplify the application procedure. Candidates are encouraged to use this method, which eliminates the need to retain or keep the Challan receipt. If using the traditional method, the original Challan of Rs. 500/- should be paid into the Head of Account “C02101-Organ of State Exam Fee (SPSC Receipts)” in State Bank/National Bank of Pakistan. Candidates must mention Challan No, Date, and Name of the Bank Branch in their online application. One Challan is acceptable for all categories of one post.
Application Process in ASI
- SPSC reviews all applications in real-time via the newly developed SPSC portal. Candidates are advised to complete their profiles before applying for any position.
- Candidates with equivalent degrees may apply when explicitly stated in the qualifications for the advertised posts.
- The Online Application Feature is available on the Official Website www.spsc.gov.pk.
- Online Application requires initial registration through the SPSC official website. After fulfilling formalities, candidates can apply through the “Available Jobs” feature.
- Candidates must possess the required age, qualification, and experience with relevant certificates on the closing date of the advertisement.
- The number of posts is subject to variation without any prior permission/intimation.
- Candidates serving in Government and Semi-Government Organizations shall apply through the proper channel.

- The online application feature will be available round the clock except on the closing date up to 05:00 P.M. (office hours).
