Sindh declares August 20 as Public Holiday for urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai The Government of Sindh has officially declared August 20, 2024 (14th Safar 1446 A.H.), as a public holiday to honor the Urs of the revered Sufi poet, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
Holiday Observance
The notification states that all government offices, educational institutions, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government will remain closed on this day. However, essential services will continue to operate as usual across the province.
