The Karachi Port Trust (KPT), renowned as the Gateway to Pakistan, has always been a key contributor to the nation’s economic and industrial development. Continuing its legacy of excellence, KPT has opened applications for the 52nd Batch of Class B Trade Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Ordinance 1962. This initiative offers aspiring individuals a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on technical skills and contribute to Pakistan’s thriving industrial landscape.
Apprenticeship Program Details
KPT’s Trade Apprenticeship Program seeks to hire 50-80 trainees for various trades, aiming to enhance the skill set of young Pakistanis and prepare them for the industrial sector. The number of available seats, however, remains limited, with only 10 reserved seats for certain candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A minimum of Matriculation with Science (Technical), with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 14 and 25 years of age, with preference given to candidates below 20 years.
Application Process
Interested candidates can obtain the application form along with other necessary documents from the KPT Reception, located at KPT Head Office, Karachi, starting from October 25, 2024, until November 08, 2024. A fee of PKR 200 is required for the application form. Alternatively, applicants may request the form by mailing PKR 250 to the Officer-in-Charge, HRD, KPT Head Office, Karachi.
