The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced several project-funded positions on a contract basis, and applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals. Here is details of the available positions:
1. Project Director/Project Coordinator (PPS-9) – 4 Posts
Project: Fulbright Scholarship Support Programme HEC – USEFP (Phase-7th), Award of Allama Muhammad Iqbal 3000 Scholarships to Afghan Students (Prime Minister’s Directive), Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (Phase-III) – HEC, Pak-UK Education Gateway.
Quotas: Merit = 1, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa = 1, Punjab = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with seven years of relevant experience in a Public/Private sector organization, including five years of managerial experience.
2. Deputy Project Director (PPS-8) – 1 Post
Project: Indigenous PhD Fellowships for 5000 Scholars, HEC (Phase-II).
Quota: Merit = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with five years of relevant experience in a Public/Private Sector organization, including three years of managerial/supervisory level. Proficiency in MS-Office and MS-Project is a must.
3. Project Manager (PPS-8) – 5 Posts
Project: Overseas Scholarship for PhD in Selected Fields (Phase-III) – HEC, Academic & Research Linkages with Different Countries/Agencies under Bilateral Agreements (Revised), Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan & ERSTWHILE FATA (Phase-II).
Quotas: Merit = 1, Punjab = 1, Punjab (Women) = 1, Sindh(R) = 1, Balochistan = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with five years of relevant experience in a Public/Private Sector organization, including three years of managerial/supervisory level. Proficiency in MS-Office and MS-Project is a must.
4. Legal Adviser/Law Officer (PPS-8) – 3 Posts
Project: Overseas Scholarship for PhD in Selected Fields (Phase-II) – HEC, Indigenous PhD Fellowships for 5000 Scholars, HEC (Phase-I).
Quotas: Merit = 1, Punjab = 1, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent from an HEC recognized University/Institute, with five years’ experience as a practicing lawyer in the field of services/corporate Law. Good verbal and written communication skills, MS Office proficiency is required.
5. Accounts Manager (PPS-8) – 1 Post
Project: Overseas Scholarship for PhD in Selected Fields (Phase-III) – HEC.
Quota: Punjab = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Master/Bachelor’s degree (16 years) in Finance/Commerce or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with five years post-qualification relevant experience in Public/Private sector organization of good repute, including two years of managerial/project handling experience.
6. Assistant Project Director (PPS-7) – 1 Post
Project: Indigenous PhD Fellowships for 5000 Scholars, HEC (Phase-II).
Quota: Merit = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with a minimum of three years relevant experience in public/private sector organization. Proficiency in MS-Office and MS-Project is a must.
7. Project Accountant (PPS-7) – 1 Post
Project: Faculty Development Programme for Pakistani Universities – HEC.
Qualification/Experience: MBA (Finance)/M. Com/CMA or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with three years’ relevant experience in private/public organization, including one-year mid-level management experience after the final degree.
8. Accounts Manager (PPS-6) – 1 Post
Project: Award of Allama Muhammad Iqbal 3000 Scholarships to Afghan Students (Prime Minister’s Directive).
Quota: Punjab = 1.
Qualification/Experience: MBA(Finance)/M. Com/CMA (16 years education) (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with three years’ experience in private/public organization.
9. Research Associate (PPS-6) – 1 Post
Project: Overseas Scholarship for PhD in Selected Fields (Phase-II) — HEC.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with two years relevant experience in public or private sector organization of good repute.
10. Office Assistant (PPS-6) – 1 Post
Project: Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (Phase-III) – HEC.
Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with two years relevant experience in public or private sector organization of good repute.
11. Sub Engineer (PPS-6) – 1 Post
Project: Establishment of Pir Roshan Institute of Progressive Sciences and Technologies, Miranshah, North Waziristan District.
Qualification/Experience: Matric with three (03) years Diploma of Associate Engineering (Civil) in the relevant discipline from a recognized institute/technical board and three (03) years’ post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
12. Office Assistant (PPS-5) – 1 Post
Project: Faculty Development Programme for Pakistani Universities – HEC.
Qualification/Experience: Graduation (at least 2nd Division) from an HEC recognized University / Institution, with two years’ work experience in Public / Private sector organization of good repute. Advanced use of MS-Office is a must.
13. Data Entry Operator (PPS-5) – 1 Post
Project: Indigenous PhD Fellowships for 5000 Scholars, HEC (Phase-II).
Quota: Merit = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Graduation with a six months certificate in computer applications.
14. Driver (PPS-2) – 1 Post
Project: Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship for Afghan National Students (Phase-II!).
Quota: ICT = 1.
Qualification/Experience: Middle Pass with at least five years of driving experience. Must possess an LTV License.
