Job Opportunities at the Ministry of National Food Security & Research

The Ministry of National Food Security & Research, under the Government of Pakistan, has announced multiple job openings in the Federal Water Management Cell (FWMC) as part of the “Prime Minister’s National Program for Solarization of Agriculture Tubewells.” These positions are based in Islamabad and are offered on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable annually depending on project requirements and performance evaluations.

Vacant Positions

1. Project Director (PPS-10)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
     • Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is required.
     • Minimum of 16 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the public sector, specifically in large-scale projects related to water, agriculture, food security, renewable energy, or solar-based projects.
   • Age Limit: 40-63 years
2. Deputy Project Director (PPS-9)
   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Postgraduate degree in Engineering (Agricultural, Water Resources, Electrical, Mechanical) or a relevant field.
     • Registration with PEC or a Master’s in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, MBA, or Project Management from an HEC-recognized institution.
     • 12 years of experience, with 3 years in solar energy/renewable energy projects.
   • Age Limit: 35-50 years

3. Deputy Director Admin & Finance (PPS-8)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Master’s degree in Accounts & Finance, MBA (Finance), Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or Project Management from an HEC-recognized institution.
     • ACA/ACMA/ACCA preferred.
     • 10 years of experience in public sector admin and finance.
   • Age Limit: 35-50 years

4. Water Management Engineer (PPS-8)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • BSc in Agricultural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
     • Registration with PEC.
     • 10 years of experience in water/groundwater management or solar-based irrigation systems.
   • Age Limit: 35-50 years
5. Deputy Director M&E (PPS-8)
   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, MBA, or Project Management.
     • 10 years of M&E experience, with 5 years in relevant sectors.
   • Age Limit: 35-50 years
6. Assistant Director IT (PPS-7)
   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
     • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience.
   • Age Limit: 30-45 years

7. Database Administrator (PPS-7)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Database Management, or equivalent.
     • Certification in Database Administration preferred.
     • 5 years of experience in large-scale database management.
   • Age Limit: 30-45 years
8. Accountant (PPS-6)
   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • B.Com or BS in Accounting and Finance.
     • ACCA (first 9 papers) or equivalent certifications preferred.
     • 5 years of accounting experience in the public sector.
   • Age Limit: 30-45 years
9. Computer Operator / Assistant (PPS-5)
   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Qualifications & Experience:
     • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
     • 3 years of experience in computer hardware and software handling.
   • Age Limit: 25-40 years
10. Accounts Assistant / Cashier (PPS-5)

    • Qualifications & Experience:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
      • 3 years of experience in accounts and AGPR-related matters.

11. Dispatch Rider (PPS-1)

    • Qualifications & Experience:
      • Matriculation with a valid driving license.
      • 1 year of experience as a dispatch rider.
