The Cantonment Board Malir (CBM) invites applications from eligible candidates to fill various posts in the MLC Club Malir Cantt on a purely contract/temporary basis under Rule-09 of the Pakistan Cantonment Servant Rules, 1954 (amended from time to time). Below are the details of the available positions, required qualifications, and application process.

Available Positions

1. General Manager

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role in the hospitality industry.
    • Proficient in Hotel Management Software and Systems.

2. F&B/Purchase Manager

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior management role in food and beverage operations, preferably in a hotel or club.
    • Preferred certifications include FMP (Food Management Professional).
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

3. Barista

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2+ years of experience as a Barista or in a related customer service role.
    • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods and ingredients.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

4. Front Desk Incharge

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in a front office management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Proficient in club management software (e.g., PMS) and Microsoft Office.

5. HR/Admin/Security Supervisor

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office.
    • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

6. IT Incharge

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an IT Management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.

7. Swimming Pool Instructor

  • Number of Posts: 02 (01 Male & 01 Female)
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Higher Secondary School degree or equivalent required.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Swimming Instructor or Lifeguard.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, ASA) and CPR/AED Certification.

8. Swimming Pool/Sauna/Steam Maintenance Supervisor

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Technical degree in a related field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Preferred certifications include CMMS (Certified Maintenance Manager).

9. Gymnasium Instructors

  • Number of Posts: 02 (01 Male & 01 Female)
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Higher Secondary School degree or equivalent required.
    • Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) and CPR/AED Certification.

10. Chef

  • Number of Posts: 02
  • Qualification & Experience:
    • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a hotel, club, or fine dining restaurant kitchen.
    • Preferred certification include Culinarian (CC) or Pastry Culinarian (CPC).

Terms & Conditions

  1. Application Submission: Eligible candidates must submit their applications to the office of the Cantonment Executive Officer, Bostan Lines, Malir Cantt or apply online through ML&C Career Portal (careers.mlc.gov.pk) by 28-07-2024.
  2. Documentation: Candidates are required to enclose one photocopy set of CNIC, academic degrees, registration certificates, etc., and two passport size photographs with the applications.
  3. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview for which no TA/DA will be given.
  4. Application Deadline: Late and incomplete applications will not be considered for the interview.
  5. Government Employees: Candidates already in government service are required to apply through the proper channel, otherwise their applications will not be considered.
  6. Contract Terms: Terms of the contract will be communicated through an offer letter to the successful candidates. Candidates accepting the terms and conditions laid down in the offer letter will be issued a final selection letter. Initially, the contract will be offered for a period of one year but the same is extendable on such terms and conditions as to be decided by CBM.
  7. Salary Package: The salary package will be attractive and comparable with market patterns.
  8. Contract Basis: The recruitment shall be on a contract basis and shall remain as such.
  9. No Regularization Claim: Candidates selected through this advertisement will not claim regularization of their service at any stage from any forum.
