Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division Announces Job Openings for Legal Professionals
The Government of Pakistan’s Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division in Islamabad, has announced vacancies for experienced legal professionals.
The initial appointment for these roles will be for a period of three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension based on satisfactory performance, as per the MP Scale Policy 2020.
Available Position: Legal Advisor (MP-I Scale)
The Establishment Division is seeking to fill one post for a Legal Advisor (MP-I). Candidates aspiring for this role must meet the following criteria:
Qualification and Experience:
A Ph.D. in Law coupled with 07 years of professional experience/practice in the High Court or Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Alternatively, a Master’s in Law with 09 years of experience/practice in the High Court or Supreme Court of Pakistan is acceptable.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 62 years.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Advisor (MP-1): The Legal Advisor will be tasked with providing strategic guidance on all legal issues related to the Litigation Wing of the Establishment Division. Key responsibilities include monitoring pending litigation, devising strategies for swift disposal, offering legal opinions, vetting all documents, and preparing comments for court submission. The role also involves representing the Establishment Division in legal proceedings and undertaking any other tasks assigned by the Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Joint Secretary (Litigation).
Available Position: Deputy Legal Advisor (MP-II Scale)
There is one opening for the post of Deputy Legal Advisor (MP-II). The eligibility requirements are as follows:
Qualification and Experience:
A Ph.D. in Law with 05 years of professional experience/practice in the High Court or Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Alternatively, a Master’s in Law with 07 years of experience/practice in the High Court or Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 62 years.
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Legal Advisor (MP-II): The Deputy Legal Advisor will support the Legal Advisor in all duties. This includes preparing documents, providing legal opinions on various cases, and representing the Establishment Division in different courts as required.
