Forest and Wildlife Training School Hyderabad Launches Internship Program 2025

The Divisional Forest Officer at the Forest and Wildlife Training School, Miani, Hyderabad, has announced an exciting internship program for talented and research-oriented youth from Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. A total of ten (10) internship positions are available, offering a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the fields of forestry and environmental management.

This program is designed to provide interns with hands-on training in forest management, policy development, and sustainable practices. Selected candidates will gain invaluable experience in sustainable forest management, social forestry, urban forestry, and environmental protection.

Program Objectives

The key objectives of this internship program are to:

  • Provide practical experience in forestry, policy-making, and administrative matters.

  • Develop skills related to GIS, remote sensing, and climate change adaptation mechanisms.

  • Enhance research capabilities in environmental science and economics.

  • Promote awareness about biodiversity conservation and the mitigation of natural disasters.

  • Prepare youth for the sustainable use and conservation of forest resources.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A graduate degree (HSC or higher) from a recognized institution in relevant fields such as Forestry, Forest Engineering, Environmental Science, GIS, Remote sensing, Climate Change, Economics, Botany, Biodiversity, or Environmental Risk Management.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

  • Required Documents: Applicants must submit an attested copy of their CNIC, a detailed CV, a cover letter, and a concise research proposal.

  • Special Preference: Preference will be given to female applicants and candidates hailing from the Tharparkar district.
