The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has announced job opportunities for highly qualified and experienced professionals. WAPDA is an equal opportunity employer and invites applications for the following roles:


Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

  1. Advisor Dams (Hydropower Project)
    • Qualifications: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Water Resources or Hydropower Engineering from HEC-recognized universities.
    • Experience: At least 30 years of experience in water resources or hydropower projects. Must have served as a Team Leader or Manager on major hydropower projects and worked on at least one World Bank-funded project. Expertise in construction planning, claims resolution, and social/resettlement issues related to hydropower projects is essential.
  2. Advisor Dams (Northern Areas)
    • Qualifications: Master’s in Civil Engineering from HEC-recognized universities.
    • Experience: 30+ years of experience in mega hydropower projects, infrastructure development, and donor-funded projects. Must have served as an executive on hydro power projects in Northern Pakistan.
  3. Advisor HR & Logistics

    • Qualifications: MBA or MPA from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: At least 25 years of service in public sector organizations, including 5 years in BPS-20 or equivalent. Expertise in HR, logistics, and asset management.
  4. Advisor/Consultant on Geo-Tech Engineering (DBDP)
    • Qualifications: M.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geo-Tech. Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD.
    • Experience: A minimum of 20 years of relevant work in government or semi-government projects, with a focus on Geo-Tech engineering.
  5. Advisor/Consultant (Sports)
    • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: 15 years of leadership in managing sports teams or sports organizations at national or international levels.
  6. Consultant on Flood & Monitoring (TDP-MDO & GIBHP)
    • Qualifications: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: 20 years of experience in dam monitoring, inspection, and flood mitigation strategies.
  7. Consultant (Environment)
    • Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s in Environmental Science or related disciplines from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: 20+ years of experience in environmental management for mega hydropower projects, including donor-funded programs.
  8. Consultant on Safety (City Projects)
    • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as IT, Electronics, or Telecommunication from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: 10 years of experience in security and safety operations, including training and risk management.
  9. Consultant (Aviation for DBDP, Dasu HPP, & Mohmand Dam Projects)
    • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Experience: More than 2,000 helicopter flying hours and expertise in flight operations management.
