Equipment and Eligibility:

  • The package includes two solar plates, batteries, an inverter, and wires.
  • The project excludes households involved in electricity theft or meter tampering.

Pilot Project:

  • The Punjab CM has directed the administration to ensure the quality of products and initiate the pilot project promptly.

Benefits and Objectives

For Sindh:

  • Provides affordable energy to households.
  • Increases energy accessibility and sustainability.
  • Reduces reliance on fossil fuels and emissions.
  • Powers remote areas.

For Punjab:

  • Targets low electricity consumers.
  • Aims to alleviate expensive electricity costs for families.
  • Ensures energy access to protected power consumers.

Both provincial initiatives underline a significant step towards empowering citizens to generate their own energy, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Sindh and Punjab. The projects will commence with procurement processes and are expected to start distribution in October.
