Job Profile and Function
Function/Department: Research, Evaluation, Assessments & Learning – REAL
The WSE Evaluator will be frequently on the ground, immersing themselves in school environments to capture authentic stories and data. The core of the job involves blending rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods—including classroom observations, interviews, surveys, and document reviews—to generate deep insights into school performance. These analyses and recommendations will fuel a cycle of continuous improvement and uphold integrity and neutrality in the field.
Key Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to conduct thorough and insightful evaluations using the WSE framework to diagnose school performance and drive sustainable improvement. This entails the following key duties:
Data Collection & Synthesis
Gather rich, on-site evidence from classroom observations, student records, surveys, and other documentation. The goal is to connect the dots to deliver accurate, evidence-based findings and weave them into constructive, considerate, and thoughtful feedback.
Pattern Recognition & Analysis
Identify trends, correlations, and systemic gaps within qualitative and quantitative datasets. This analysis will lead to well-founded conclusions about teaching, learning, and school operations.
Stakeholder Engagement and Sensitive Conversation Management
Facilitate trust-based meetings and discussions with principals, teachers, and learners to gather insights and validate findings. The evaluator must handle divergent viewpoints with professionalism, impartiality, and empathy, managing sensitive discussions to maintain trust and foster co-ownership of evaluation outcomes.
Report Preparation and Presentation
Produce high-quality, concise evaluation reports in Urdu (and English, if needed), clearly outlining key strengths, areas for growth, and actionable, data-driven recommendations. The evaluator will also present these findings to school leadership in a clear, solution-oriented manner.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Preferred Qualification
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education (B.Ed. preferred) from a reputable institution.
Experience Required
A minimum of 3–5 years of school teaching experience.
Alternatively, 3–4 years of experience as a principal, teacher trainer, or academic manager is desirable.
