Sindh Rural Support Organization Seeks Chief Internal Auditor
The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) has announced a career opportunity for the position of Chief Internal Auditor (CIA). This full-time role is based at the SRSO Head Office in Sukkur and is a key strategic position within the organization. The mission of SRSO is to promote inclusive, transparent, and accountable development for the rural communities of Sindh.
Position Overview
The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to the Board and the Board Audit Committee (BAC), focusing on enhancing internal controls, governance, risk management, and compliance across all SRSO operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a professional qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CIA and be a member of a recognized professional body like ICAP, ICMAP, ACCA, or ICIA. A minimum of eight years of post-qualification experience in internal auditing, risk management, compliance, or financial management is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in donor-funded or multi-sectorial projects, as well as those with prior experience as the Head of Internal Audit in Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).
Key Responsibilities
The core duties of the Chief Internal Auditor include:
Leading and executing the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
Evaluating organizational risk, controls, and governance frameworks.
Reporting findings and recommendations to the BAC and senior management, in line with donor requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
Supervising and mentoring the internal audit team.
Required Skills and Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate:
Strong audit methodology and analytical expertise.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and audit software tools.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
