Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology (SICHN) Jobs 2025, The Pediatric Eye Diagnostic Center (PEDC), operated by the Vision for Education Foundation (VAE) at the Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology (SICHN) Subkur, is inviting applications for various positions. This project is sponsored by Action for Humanity (AFH) through GOAC funding. The center focuses on providing specialized eye care for children, and we are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team.

Available Positions

1. Medical Officer (Male / Female)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • MCPS in Ophthalmology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a focus on Pediatric Ophthalmology.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric eye diseases, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Proficiency in using ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in managing refractive errors, amblyopia, strabismus, and other pediatric vision disorders.
  • Ability to provide counseling to parents regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive eye care.

2. Optometrist [1-Male, 1-Female]

• No. of Posts: 02
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in eye care, preferably in a hospital setup.
  • Experience in clinical refraction, orthoptics, and low vision management.
  • Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and their families.

3. Patient Counselor (Female)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of experience in patient counseling, education, or pre/post-surgical guidance.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.

4. Refractionist (Male / Female)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Diploma in Refraction from a recognized institution.
  • 1-2 years of experience in refraction work, preferably with children.
  • Proficiency in both manual and automated refraction techniques.

5. Data Entry Operator (Female)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Intermediate/Graduation.
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry, record-keeping, or administrative work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), databases, and data management software.

6. Spectacle Disbursement (Male / Female)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Diploma in Opticatory or Optical Dispensing.
  • 5+ years of experience in spectacle dispensing or optical shop.
  • Knowledge of spectacle fitting, adjustments, and lens types.

7. Spectacle Technician (Male)

• No. of Posts: 02
• Qualification/Experience:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in an optical lab or workshop.
  • Proficiency in lens cutting, fitting, and frame adjustments.
  • Good understanding of different types of lenses, coatings, and prescriptions.

8. Office Boy / Support Staff (Male)

• No. of Posts: 01
• Qualification/Experience:
  • Minimum intermediate education.
  • 1-2 years of experience as Naib Qasid, Office Boy, or Support Staff.
  • Must own a motorcycle with a valid driving license for visits.
