Job Opportunity: Director General, Sindh Forensic Science Agency
The Home Department, Government of Sindh has announced a job opportunity for the position of Director General at the Sindh Forensic Science Agency. This role involves leading a state-of-the-art forensic science laboratory established in Karachi under the Sindh Forensic Science Agency Act 2017. Qualifications & Experience Required
Educational Qualification:
PhD in Forensic Science or related fields such as Forensic Pathology, Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Analytical Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Forensic Medicine, Computer Forensics, Toxicology, or related disciplines.
Degree recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). (Mandatory)
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 10 years as a Bench Analyst in a reputable national or international forensic laboratory.
At least 5 years in an administrative or supervisory role in a recognized forensic laboratory. (Mandatory)
Certification:
Must have completed at least three proficiency tests in forensic discipline from an internationally recognized proficiency testing provider. (Mandatory)
Professional Membership:
Should be a member of an international forensic association. (Mandatory)
Additional Skills:
Experience in court testimonies is preferred.
Job Terms & Benefits
The initial appointment will be for a term of five years, which may be extended by the government under special circumstances.
