Available Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria
The department is seeking qualified individuals for several specialized roles. Most positions require a graduation degree in the relevant field with at least a second division from a recognized university.
Technical & IT Roles (BPS-14):
Database Assistant: Requires a Graduation in Computer Science or IT.
IT Assistant: Requires a Graduation in Computer Science or IT.
Network Assistant: Requires a Graduation in Computer Science or IT.
QC Technician: Open to candidates with a BS in Engineering (minimum 2.5 GPA).
Chemical Assistant (BPS-11): Requires a B.Sc in Second Division.
Specialized Heritage & Arts Roles (BPS-14):
Antiquities Assistant: Requires Graduation in Archaeology or History.
Calligraphist: Requires a Fine Arts degree with experience in calligraphy.
Craft Assistant: Graduation in Fine Arts is mandatory.
Oriental Assistant: Graduation in General History with experience in archaeology.
Camera Man: Social Science graduates with training in photography and archiving.
Administrative & Support Roles:
Steno Typist (BPS-14): Graduate with shorthand (120 wpm) and typing (35 wpm) skills.
Warden (BPS-10): Graduation with proficiency in MS Office.
Guide & Guide Scouts (BPS-11): Graduation in Social Sciences.
Pesh Imam (BPS-12): Requires Graduation in Dars-e-Nizami (Hafiz-e-Quran).
Mandatory Requirement: The STS Screening Test[
A key requirement for these positions is the Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) General Screening Test.Applicants must have successfully passed the test for the “Graduation Category” with a minimum score of 40%. You must possess the official certificate issued by STS to be eligible for appointment to any of the aforementioned posts.
Age Limit and Relaxations
The standard age limit for these positions typically ranges between 18 and 30 years depending on the specific post. However, significant age relaxations are available according to the latest Sindh Government rules.
Candidates who applied for the screening test prior to the promulgation of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules 2024 may be eligible for an upper age relaxation of up to 15 years. General candidates can expect a relaxation of 5 years as per the prevailing government policy.
Important Application Guidelines
Domicile: Only candidates with a permanent residence (domicile) in Sindh Province are eligible to apply.
Quota: Appointments will follow the provincial quota policy for rural and urban areas, as well as reserved shares for women, minorities, and differently-abled persons.
Government Employees: Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during the interview phase.
