Temporary Teaching Vacancies in Balochistan Education Department
The School Education Department of Balochistan, in an effort to address the shortage of teachers and ensure all children have access to quality education, has announced temporary teaching positions across various districts. The initiative aims to reopen closed schools and increase school enrollments for children who are currently out of school. These recruitments are based on the 2024 Temporary Recruitment Policy approved by the Balochistan government.
Vacancy Details
The department is inviting applications from local candidates for teaching positions in grades B-14 to B-15. These positions will be on a contract basis and are open at the Union Council level. Both male and female candidates from respective districts and unions are encouraged to apply.

- EST (Elementary School Teacher) – B-16
- JET (Junior English Teacher) – B-15
- JET-Tech (Junior English Teacher Technical) – B-15
- JAT (Junior Arabic Teacher) – B-15
- PET (Physical Education Teacher) – B-15
- DM (Drawing Master) – B-15
- JVT (Junior Vernacular Teacher) – B-14
- MQ (Moallim Quran) – B-14
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects from a recognized institution. For certain specialized positions, additional qualifications like a Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent are required.
- Age: The upper age limit is 55 years.
- Domicile: Only candidates holding a local domicile of the respective district are eligible.
Application Guidelines
- Application Submission: Interested candidates should submit their applications along with relevant academic documents to the office of the District Education Officer (DEO) of their respective districts.
- Government Employees: Those already employed in government or semi-government roles should apply through the proper channels.
Important Instructions
- Married female applicants must apply based on their husband’s domicile. Applications based on the father’s domicile will not be accepted for married candidates.
- Selection will strictly follow the Balochistan Education Department’s approved 2024 recruitment policy for temporary appointments. This includes a merit-based ranking system with weightage criteria as follows:
- Matriculation: 33%
- Intermediate: 33%
- Graduation: 34%
- Candidates with an Associate Degree in Education (ADE) or B.Ed. (Hons) will receive additional consideration.
- Contract Duration: Initial contract duration is 18 months, which may be extended based on performance.
- No Transfers: Candidates selected for these positions will not be eligible for transfers to other locations.
