READ Foundation Seeks Training and Material Development Consultants in Islamabad
READ Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality-oriented and purposeful education, has announced that it is hiring Training and Material Development Consultants. The foundation is seeking the expertise of qualified professionals to enhance the quality of teaching and learning at the Secondary (SSC) and Higher Secondary (HSSC) levels through its structured, SLO-based Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs.
This is a consultant-level opportunity for subject matter experts to contribute to a significant educational development project. The consultants will be responsible for developing a range of educational materials and training Learning and Development (L&D) Officers. The position is based at READ Foundation’s Head Office in Islamabad, and the application deadline is October 10, 2025.
Position Overview
The selected consultants will play a pivotal role in creating and refining educational content for various subjects. The key materials to be developed include:
Scope and Sequence documents
Training manuals and modules
Daily Lesson Plans (DLPs) with supplementary materials
Formative and summative assessment tools

Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Education: A Master’s degree or higher in the relevant subject.
Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in curriculum and material development.
Preferably, teaching experience at high and higher-secondary school levels under FBISE or RBISE.
A proven track record in SLO-based curriculum design and teacher training.
Familiarity with national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Skills:
A strong understanding of pedagogy, assessment, and adult learning principles.
Excellent writing, editing, and IT skills.
The ability to develop practical, user-friendly content for teachers.
Key Responsibilities
The consultants will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
Developing scope and sequence documents for all nine SSC and HSSC subjects, aligned with national curriculum standards.
Leading and facilitating training sessions for L&D Officers and Subject-based Material Development Committee (MDC) members.
Reviewing, refining, and finalizing resources prepared by L&D Officers and MDC members.
Ensuring all developed content aligns with national standards, SLOs, and the organization’s pedagogical framework.
Delivering impactful training sessions for SSC and HSSC teachers on SLO-based teaching and assessment.
Note: This job involves 70-80% field travel.
Contract Details
Contract Type: Contract Base
Duration: The contract is for a total of 79 days, broken down as follows:
24 days for material development.
55 days for training delivery.
The project duration is from October 2025 to June 2026.
