Job Profile & Core Responsibilities
The Director Strategy & Business Development will be responsible for defining long-term corporate objectives and managing the company’s expansion footprint. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning: Formulation of corporate strategies, growth proposals, and translating high-level business objectives into actionable enterprise-level programs.
Documentation & Compliance: Preparing formal Board papers, strategic briefs, PC-I documents, and other high-level technical proposals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engaging and collaborating with senior management, Board members, federal regulators, and external power sector stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
PITC has laid down stringent academic and professional requirements for this executive role:
1. Education
Minimum Requirement: 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized national or highly reputable international institution.
Fields of Study: Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Administration, Management Sciences, or closely related strategy/business development disciplines.
Preferred Qualification: A Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Strategic Management, Business Administration, Management Sciences, Business Analytics, Technology Management, or International Business will be considered a major asset.
2. Professional Experience
A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience across business strategy, corporate planning, consulting, or business development.
Out of the total experience, at least 3 to 5 years must be in similar leadership roles, preferably within Power Sector entities, public utilities, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), regulatory bodies, large IT organizations, consulting firms, or major infrastructure-driven enterprises.
3. Certifications & Specialized Skills
Professional or international certifications relevant to corporate strategy formulation, business growth, or enterprise program governance provide an added advantage.
A deep understanding of public sector governance frameworks, regulatory environments, and general power sector processes is highly desired.
Terms & Conditions of Employment
Job Location: The position is based in Lahore; however, the selected candidate may be required to serve anywhere in Pakistan as per company needs.
Tenure: This is a contractual appointment for a three-year term, extendable based on performance and organizational requirements.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 55 years calculated as of the closing date of the advertisement.
Compensation: The role offers a highly competitive, market-based remuneration package.
