Position Overview
Role: Executive Editor – PTV World
Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable based on performance) Reporting Structure: Part of the Executive Management team
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define vision and strategic direction for PTV World.
Align content/programming with Pakistan’s ideology, culture, and government policies.
Operational Oversight:
Manage day-to-day channel operations.
Oversee news coverage, special transmissions, and digital content (social media/website).
Team Development:
Mentor staff for professional growth and productivity.
Foster collaboration across PTV channels.
Content Innovation:
Devise strategies to boost viewership and refresh channel branding.
Generate new programming ideas responsive to audience behavior.
Compliance & Liaison:
Ensure editorial compliance and serve as bridge between management and staff.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (HEC-verified).
Preference: Foreign-qualified candidates.
Experience & Skills:
15+ years in top news channels, with senior-level experience.
International media exposure (TV/markets) is advantageous.
Proven expertise in:
Content strategy and audience engagement.
Writing/pitching audience-specific proposals.
Negotiation and cross-functional communication.
Deep understanding of evolving media technologies/platforms.
Age Limit:
Minimum 50 years (as of application deadline).
