Position Overview

Job Title: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Location: PTV Headquarters, Islamabad
Employment Type: Contractual (initially for one year, extendable based on performance)

Job Description

As the Chief Commercial Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all commercial functions of PTVC, including sales, marketing, business development, and revenue generation. This executive role requires a strategic leader with a vision for growth in both traditional and digital markets. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CCO will play a pivotal role in expanding PTVC’s market share and enhancing its revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Leadership:
    • Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with PTVC’s corporate objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities in both traditional and digital markets to ensure sustainable revenue streams.
  • Sales and Revenue Management:
    • Lead sales teams to maximize revenue from advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, and syndication.
    • Oversee negotiations with advertisers, media buyers, and corporate sponsors to secure high-value deals.
  • Business Development and Partnerships:
    • Explore new business ventures, partnerships, and alliances, particularly in digital media and international markets.
  • Marketing and Brand Enhancement:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to drive viewership, brand awareness, and loyalty through integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Work closely with content and programming teams to align marketing and commercial goals with audience preferences.
  • Revenue Innovation:
    • Identify and implement new revenue models, such as digital advertising, subscription services, and content licensing.
    • Optimize pricing strategies and sales channels to improve profitability.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Adjustment:
    • Conduct market research and monitor trends, competition, and audience behavior.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and maintain competitiveness.
  • Team Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial, sales, and marketing teams.
    • Establish KPIs and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
    • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance and programming teams, and engage with external stakeholders such as advertisers, clients, and industry regulators.

Job Specifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Marketing or Business Management from a recognized institution.

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in the media industry with a strong track record of driving revenue growth through commercial strategies.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in broadcast and digital media, particularly in advertising, content monetization, and partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to strategy development.
  • Competencies in strategic vision, business acumen, financial savvy, and stakeholder management.

Age Limit:

  • Between 50 to 55 years as of the closing date.
