PSEB Announces Senior-Level Career Opportunities in Islamabad
Islamabad, Pakistan – The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), an apex body under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, is inviting applications from seasoned professionals for two key senior leadership positions on a contract basis. This initiative is aimed at developing Pakistan’s IT and ITeS sectors, enhancing export growth, and promoting the nation’s tech industry on a global scale.
The available roles are for Chief Skills Development Officer (CSDO) and Chief Industry Development Officer (CIDO). The deadline for applications is August 27, 2025.
Vacancy: Chief Skills Development Officer (CSDO)
This is a critical role focused on shaping the future of Pakistan’s IT workforce. The CSDO will be responsible for designing and implementing nationwide IT skill development programs to ensure the country’s talent pool meets global market demands.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Age Limit: Maximum 55 years.
Education: A minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in fields such as ICT, Business, Education Leadership, Management Sciences, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in IT workforce development, higher education, skills training, government liaison, and strategic planning. A proven track record of managing large teams and complex, multi-stakeholder projects is essential. Candidates must have at least 5 years of leadership experience in managing national or large-scale training initiatives.
Now Hiring: Chief Industry Development Officer (CIDO)
The CIDO will play a pivotal role in facilitating the IT and ITeS sector by engaging with public and private stakeholders to foster a smooth business environment. This position is central to driving industry growth, infrastructure development, and public-private partnerships.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Age Limit: Maximum 55 years.
Education: A minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Business, Economics, or a related field. Higher qualifications in Business Administration, Public Policy, or Finance are preferred. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience in IT, business enablement, industry facilitation, or related domains. This must include at least 5 years in project or program management involving stakeholder coordination and a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or decision-making role, preferably in a tech-focused organization. Experience working with regulatory bodies and business facilitation units is highly relevant.
