Program Manager (1 Position – Karachi)
Qualification and Experience:
- A relevant master’s degree in social sciences, disaster risk reduction or management, development studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in humanitarian or development projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel and work out of station as required.
- Age limit: Up to 45 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of the German Red Cross Project in Karachi, ensuring timely implementation and achievement of project goals.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of project staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure effective performance and adherence to project objectives.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders, including local communities, government authorities, and partner organizations, to enhance project impact and sustainability.
- Emergency Response & Relief: Coordinate emergency response and relief efforts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring swift and effective assistance to affected populations.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely project reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Capacity Building: Identify capacity-building needs among project staff and stakeholders, and facilitate training and skill development initiatives accordingly.
