Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Announces Massive Recruitment Drive for Sepoy General Duty
Lahore, Pakistan – The Directorate General of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) has announced a major recruitment drive, inviting applications from male citizens of Pakistan to join the force as Sepoy General Duty (BPS-05). A total of 598 positions are open for recruitment on the basis of merit, following the provincial quotas set by the government.
This is a premier opportunity for young, patriotic, and physically fit individuals to serve their country by joining a prestigious paramilitary force. The online registration period is from August 18 to August 27, 2025.
Now Hiring: Sepoy General Duty (BPS-05)
The Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) are seeking to fill 598 vacancies for the rank of Sepoy General Duty. The recruitment will be conducted according to the following provincial quotas:
Merit: 7.5% (45 positions)
Punjab (including Federal Area Islamabad): 50% (299 positions)
Sindh (Urban): 7.6% (45 positions)
Sindh (Rural): 11.4% (68 positions)
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 11.5% (69 positions)
Balochistan: 6% (36 positions)
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Newly Merged Districts – Ex-FATA): 3% (18 positions)
Gilgit Baltistan: 1% (6 positions)
Azad Kashmir: 2% (12 positions)
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for recruitment:
Educational Qualification: Minimum Middle Pass. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (as of August 31, 2025).
Age Relaxation: A 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit is provided by the government. This means candidates between 18 and 25 years of age are eligible. The final selection will give preference to candidates aged 18 to 22 years.
Physical Standards:
Height: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches.
Chest: 33 inches with 1 ½ inch expansion.
Weight: Minimum 121 pounds (medical laws will apply).
Citizenship: Must be a male citizen of Pakistan.

The selection process will be conducted at various recruitment centers across the country.

Recruitment Process:
After successful online registration, candidates will download their registration slip and must report to their selected recruitment center at 0800 hours on the designated date for the physical test, written test, and interview.

Required Documents for Recruitment
Candidates must bring the following original documents along with two attested photocopies to the recruitment center:
Original Educational Certificates/Sanads.
Original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) issued by NADRA.
Original Domicile/Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC).
Four recent passport-sized colored photographs.
Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) for candidates currently serving in any government or semi-government department.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will include the following stages:
Physical Test
Written Test
Psychological Test / Interview
Final Selection (based on merit at HQ Pakistan Rangers Punjab, Lahore)
Final Medical Examination (at Pakistan Rangers Academy Mandi Bahauddin)
After the final selection, candidates will undergo basic training at the Pakistan Rangers Academy in Mandi Bahauddin.
