PMDC is seeking to fill the position of Procurement Officer on a contract basis for its key operational sites.
Position: Procurement Officer – Project Site
PMDC is looking to hire three (03) Procurement Officers to be based at its major project locations.
Location: 01 position at Khewra, 01 position at Warcha, and 01 position at Quetta Office.
Employment Type: Open Contract Basis.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the application deadline.
Eligibility Criteria: Qualification and Experience
Candidates must meet the following essential criteria to be considered:
Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in procurement activities. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in mining, industrial, or large-scale project environments.
Key Job Responsibilities and Roles
The Procurement Officer will be entrusted with a wide range of critical duties, including:
Supporting the implementation of procurement policies and procedures in compliance with PPRA rules and corporate guidelines.
Managing the end-to-end procurement process: identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships.
Conducting thorough supplier evaluations based on quality, delivery, price, and safety compliance.
Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Administration departments to identify and document procurement needs.
Preparing and processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Performing market research, cost analysis, and preparing comparative statements to support decision-making.
Maintaining meticulous procurement records and providing support during internal and external audits.
