The Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR) invites applications from Pakistani nationals with a domicile in Balochistan for various positions. These roles are initially on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.

Positions Available

1. Scientific Officer (BS-17)

   • Number of Posts: 8
   • Age Limit: 35 years
   • Qualification: M.Phil, MS, M.Sc., B.S., or equivalent in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Food Sciences, Physics/Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Geology. Must have at least two first-class divisions in academic career without any third division.
2. Senior Instructor (BS-17)
   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Age Limit: 35 years
   • Qualification: Masters in Engineering or equivalent degree in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Electronics/Industrial Electronics with at least two first-class divisions in academic career without any third division.
   • Quota: Merit (01), Women (01)

3. Administrative Officer (BS-17)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Age Limit: 35 years
   • Qualification: MBA/MPA/MA/MSc/LLB or equivalent (16 years of education) in the related field with at least two first-class divisions in academic career without any third division.
   • Quota: Merit (01)

4. Assistant (BS-15)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: Graduate or equivalent degree. Must be computer literate.
5. Research Assistant (BS-14)
   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: B.Sc. or equivalent.
6. Technician (BS-11)
   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: Diploma in Associate Engineering from a recognized institution with 2 years of experience.

7. UDC (BS-13)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent degree/certificate from a recognized institute/board.

8. Driver (BS-04)

   • Number of Posts: 2
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: Middle pass with a valid driving license, well-versed with traffic rules.
9. Lab Attendant (BS-01)
   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Age Limit: 30 years
   • Qualification: SSC (Science).
10. Naib Qasid (BS-01)
    • Number of Posts: 3
    • Age Limit: 30 years
    • Qualification: Matric.
11. Gardner (BS-01)
    • Number of Posts: 2
    • Age Limit: 30 years
    • Qualification: Primary pass, relevant experience preferred.

12. Cook (BS-01)

    • Number of Posts: 1
    • Age Limit: 30 years
    • Qualification: Primary pass, relevant experience/certificate will be preferred.
13. Sanitary Worker (BS-01)
    • Number of Posts: 1
    • Age Limit: 30 years
    • Qualification: Primary pass.

4. Domicile Requirement:
   • Selection for positions from Sr. No. 8 to 13 will be made on a local domicile basis at Quetta and Gwadar.
5. Age Relaxation:
   • A 5-year general age relaxation is already included in the age limit. Additional relaxation will follow government rules.
6. Transgender Candidates:
   • Transgender persons may apply based on their self-perceived gender identity as per the Transgender Person (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018.
