Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), a government entity responsible for energy development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is inviting applications from qualified professionals for project-based positions of Project Directors. These roles are critical for the successful implementation and completion of these energy projects.
Available Positions
1. Project Director (BPS-20) – 300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project
- No. of Posts: 1
- Qualification & Experience:
- At least a second-class Bachelor’s Degree (16 years education) in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical) from an HEC-recognized university. Registration with PEC is mandatory.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Implementation, with at least 3 years in Senior Management (BPS-19 or equivalent) in Hydropower projects.
- Preference for candidates with experience in hydropower projects and higher qualifications in engineering.
- Age Limit: Maximum 63 years
- Salary: Market-based, competitive package.
2. Project Director (BPS-19) – 69 MW Lawi Hydropower Project & 17 MW Ranolia Rehabilitation Hydropower Project
- No. of Posts: 2
- Qualification & Experience:
- At least a second-class Bachelor’s Degree (16 years education) in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical) from an HEC-recognized university. Registration with PEC is mandatory.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Implementation, with at least 3 years in Senior Management (BPS-19 or equivalent) in Hydropower or other Engineering projects.
- Knowledge of Government of Pakistan’s Project Planning and Management procedures is required.
- Preference for candidates with experience in hydropower projects and higher qualifications in engineering.
- Age Limit: Maximum 63 years
- Salary: Market-based, competitive package.

- Application Form: The PEDO Applicant Data Form is available for download on the official PEDO website (www.pedo.pk). Applicants must fill out the form and submit it along with:
- Attested copies of all academic and experience certificates.
- Updated CV/resume.
- CNIC copy.
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Any other relevant supporting documents.
- Submission Deadline: The completed application, along with all required documents, must be sent to the Director HR/Admin PEDO by registered courier by 26th September 2024. Applications submitted by hand, or received after the deadline, will not be considered.
- Selection Process:
- Shortlisting will be based on a selection criterion approved by the Board.
- Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Government or semi-government employees must apply through proper channels.
- Age relaxation may be provided as per government policies.
Additional Notes
- Appointments will be made on a contractual basis, renewable annually, subject to satisfactory performance until the completion of the project.
- Candidates must have a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or merged areas (erstwhile FATA).
