OGDCL Seeks Senior Professionals for Key Operational Roles
The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), a premier entity in Pakistan’s energy sector, has announced vacancies for high-level positions. The company is actively recruiting experienced professionals for the roles of Operation Manager/Company Man and Drilling Superintendent. Open Positions and Eligibility Criteria
OGDCL has established two distinct qualification pathways to attract a broad range of experienced candidates.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
Path A: A Bachelor of Engineering degree from an HEC-recognized institution, coupled with a minimum of 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience. This must include at least three years in supervisory roles.
Path B: An F.Sc / 03 years DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineer) from a recognized institution. This option requires a minimum of 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience, with at least five years spent in supervisory positions.
A critical note for all applicants is that supervisory experience must have been in roles such as Drilling Superintendent, Driller, Tool Pusher, Night Tool Pusher, Company Man, or Well Site Leader. The maximum age for applicants is 62 years at the time of submission.
Essential Skills and Key Expertise
The ideal candidates will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of drilling and well-site management. Key areas of required expertise include:
Deep knowledge of safety protocols and a proven commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
Extensive experience in well-site supervision and monitoring through all phases of well execution.
Proficiency in advanced techniques like Directional/Horizontal Drilling and the management of High Pressure/Temperature wells.
Expertise in addressing operational challenges, including loss control in highly fractured zones, stuck pipe and fishing, and drilling with UBD/MPD applications.
Demonstrated ability in running and cementing Liner Hangers and conducting DST operations.
A solid grasp of well control and well integrity management.
Good working knowledge of mud and solids control equipment and performance.
Terms of Appointment and Compensation
The company will not provide a travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) for this purpose. OGDCL maintains the right to fill the positions or to leave them vacant.
