National Insurance Company Ltd (NICL) Seeks Chief Medical Officer in Karachi
National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a key public sector insurance provider owned by the Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications from interested candidates for the position of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for its office in Karachi.
Position Details and Eligibility Criteria
Position: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Gender: Female Only
Age Limit: 35 to 45 years
Contract: 3-year term on a retainership basis
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification: An MBBS degree from a recognized institution is required. An FCPS qualification will be preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including a house job in general medicine. Three years of experience in tertiary healthcare will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The appointed Chief Medical Officer will work on a part-time basis and will be responsible for attending to female patients and managing various general medical functions. Key duties include:
Attending the NICL Head Office in Karachi for 3 to 5 hours once a week.
Handling emergency medical cases as required.
Examining employees and providing referrals to specialists or hospitals when necessary.
Visiting hospitalized employees or their dependents to ensure proper treatment.
Scrutinizing and endorsing medical bills from hospitals, chemists, and laboratories.
Conducting medical examinations for newly recruited employees.
Managing medical facilities for employees while controlling expenses.
Providing recommendations to improve employee wellbeing and advise on health and safety measures.
The CMO must also be available online or by phone outside of office hours to handle emergency situations.
