National Bank of Pakistan Seeks Divisional Head for Learning & Development

Position Overview
Position / Job Title: Divisional Head – Learning & Development
Grade: VP / SVP (Vice President / Senior Vice President)
Reporting to: Director Staff College
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following rigorous criteria to be considered for this leadership role:
Educational / Professional Qualification:
A minimum of a Graduation degree or equivalent from a local or international university/college recognized by the HEC.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s degree and/or other relevant professional certifications.
Experience:
A minimum of 08 years of professional experience in Human Resources.
Of the total experience, at least 03 years must be in a supervisory role within Training, Learning, and Development.
Preference will be given to candidates who are certified trainers and/or have experience working with renowned training firms or organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a comprehensive skill set, including:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational management skills.
Strong planning and organizing abilities.
Detail-oriented with good decision-making skills.
Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
Outline of Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Divisional Head will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the bank’s learning and development framework. Key responsibilities include:
Managing the design and development of all training programs and curricula in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and external vendors.
Overseeing the effective and efficient implementation of training programs in partnership with the Staff College.
Ensuring that training designs align with best practices, principles of experiential learning, and modern instructional theories.
Upskilling Faculty Members (MDs) on the latest developments in banking and financial sectors.
Identifying and developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to design tailored and bespoke learning interventions.
Establishing and maintaining robust performance evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness, knowledge transfer, and return on investment (ROI).
Organizing and supervising the activities of the training hub and coordinating with internal, external, and SBP auditors.
Managing all team-related matters, including tardiness, leave management, office decorum, and conflict resolution.

Available Positions
1. Regional Head (OG-I)
Place of Posting: Mingora
Reporting to: Not specified (likely senior management)
Educational Qualification: Minimum Graduation from an HEC-recognized institution. Preference for candidates with a Commerce Graduation or an Islamic Banking certification/degree.
Experience: Minimum 04 years of experience in branch banking, with at least 02 years as a Branch Manager, preferably in Islamic Banking.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the overall management and business development of branches in the assigned region, ensure the achievement of KPIs, market Islamic banking products, ensure Shariah and regulatory compliance, and lead the regional team.
2. Branch Manager (OG-II)
Place of Posting: Mingora, Lahore, and Shahkot
Reporting to: Not specified (likely the Regional Head)
Educational Qualification: Minimum Graduation, with a preference for Commerce Graduation or Islamic Banking certification/degree.
Experience: Minimum 02 years of experience as a Relationship Manager in branch banking.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the branch P&L, achieve sales and deposit targets, cultivate and manage customer relationships, ensure the branch operates in an efficient and compliant manner (both regulatory and Shariah), handle audits, and train branch staff.
Required Skills for Both Roles
Strong knowledge of banking operations, with a preference for Islamic banking products.
Excellent people management, leadership, and sales skills.
Sound knowledge of compliance, including AML/CFT and SBP Prudential Regulations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
