The Local Government and Rural Development Department of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir has announced several job vacancies.

Available Positions and Requirements

  1. Stenographer (BPS-14)
    • Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from any university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with a typing speed of 40 words per minute in English and Urdu.
    • Vacancies: 3 (Open Merit, excluding refugee quota for Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, and Neelum Districts)
  2. Junior Clerk (BPS-11)
    • Required Qualification: Graduation with a 6-month diploma in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a typing speed of 40 words per minute in both English and Urdu.
    • Vacancies: 3 (Open Merit)
  3. Community Organizer (BPS-12)
    • Required Qualification:
      • Option 1: BS or equivalent degree in Community Development or a related field from any HEC-recognized university.
      • Option 2: Intermediate qualification with a 2-year diploma in Community Development/Social Work or Community Mobilization from a recognized institute.
    • Vacancies: 5 (Open Merit, excluding quotas for Poonch and Bhimber districts)

    Additional quota includes 1 seat each for refugees of 1989, Bhimber District, Haveli District, and Mirpur District.

Application Requirements

  • Documentation: Applicants must submit certified copies of all educational certificates, national identity card (CNIC), domicile, and proof of residence along with three recent passport-size photographs. Additionally, a non-refundable bank draft of PKR 3000 in favor of the Section Officer, Local Government and Rural Development Department, is required.

Terms and Conditions

  • Age Limit: The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 40 years.
  • Government Employees: Existing government employees are eligible to apply through the proper channel.
  • Original Documents: Candidates must bring original documents and certificates at the time of the test and interview.
  • No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for appearing in the test or interview.
