Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board Announces Talent Scholarships for 2025-2026
Peshawar, KP – The Directorate of Education of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board (KP-WWB) has announced the “Workers Welfare Fund Talent Scholarship” for the academic year 2025-2026. Applications are invited from the children of industrial and mine workers for talent-based scholarships to pursue studies in various disciplines at different colleges, universities, and institutions.
This initiative aims to support the educational aspirations of workers’ children by providing financial assistance, including a monthly stipend and coverage of educational expenses.
Scholarship Categories and Stipend Rates
The scholarships are divided into three main categories based on the level of education:
Category I (Matriculation, Intermediate, and Technical Training):
Discipline: Includes admissions to educational institutions run by the Provincial WWB, Cadet Colleges, Public Schools, Intermediate courses, and technical training institutes (TEVTAS/NTB/NEVTEC).
Stipend Rate: Rs. 3,500/- per month.
Category II (Graduation Level):
Discipline: Graduation degrees (of two or four years’ duration) from public or private universities/colleges recognized by the HEC.
Stipend Rate: Rs. 4,500/- per month.
Category III (Post-Graduation and Professional Degrees):
Discipline: Post-Graduation degrees from public or private universities, or degrees from Engineering Universities or Medical Colleges recognized by HEC, PEC, or PMC.
Stipend Rate: Rs. 5,500/- per month.
Application Deadlines
Fall Semester 2025: The deadline for submission of scholarship forms is November 30, 2025.
Spring Semester 2026: The application period is from January 1, 2026, to February 28, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria and Policy Highlights
The worker must be covered under the definition of a “workman” as prescribed in the IRA 2012.
The worker must be registered with EOBI or ESSI.
The industrial/mine establishment must be registered under the relevant Act/Law and contribute to the Workers Welfare Fund.
Children of deceased or disabled workers are also eligible for the scholarship.
There is no age limit for this scholarship facility.

Application Procedure:
Obtain the scholarship application form from the official website of the KP-Workers Welfare Board.
All documents must be attested by a Gazetted Government Officer (BPS-17 or above).
Submit the completed application form along with all required documents to the relevant office before the deadline.
Submission Locations:
Peshawar and Adjoining Districts: Scholarship Section KP-Workers Welfare Board, Plot No 2, Sector A3 near FIA Building, Phase 5 Hayatabad, Peshawar.
Industrial/Mines Workers in Haripur and Bannu Zones: Must submit their forms to their concerned Zonal Offices.
Key Documents Required:
Offer Letter from the concerned university/college.
Attested copy of the student’s and worker’s CNIC/Birth Certificate.
Attested copy of the worker’s EOBI or ESSI Card.
Original Service and Salary Certificates from the concerned factory.
Copies of previous examination degrees/certificates (DMCs).
Undertaking on stamp paper.
Original fee receipts/payment vouchers.
