Key Positions Vacant for August 2025

KPT is looking to fill the following specialized technical roles, with all positions being filled on merit:

1. Hydrographic Surveyor (KPT PS-08)

  • Number of Posts: 02

  • Age Limit: 30 years

  • Qualifications and Experience:

    • A Bachelor’s degree is required.

    • Must have completed Hydrographic Survey Technician Courses from a recognized national or international institution.

    • A minimum of five years of experience in the hydrographic survey field is mandatory.

    • Candidates must possess sea survival skills and demonstrate proficiency in using survey equipment and software such as Hypack, PDS, and AutoCAD.

2. Assistant Hydrographic Surveyor (KPT PS-06)

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Age Limit: 30 years

  • Qualifications and Experience:

    • An Intermediate/Diploma qualification is required.

    • Must have completed Hydrographic Survey Technician Courses from a recognized national or international institution.

    • A minimum of three years of experience in the hydrographic survey field is necessary.

    • Applicants must have sea survival skills and be proficient with survey equipment and software like Hypack, PDS, and AutoCAD.

Important Notes and Conditions for Applicants

  • Age Relaxation: A general age relaxation of 5 years is already included in the specified age limit. Further age relaxation for other categories will be applicable as per government instructions.

  • Quotas: The recruitment will observe a quota of 10% for women, 5% for minorities, and 2% for persons with disabilities. Candidates with disabilities must provide a valid registration certificate.

  • Government Employees: Individuals currently serving in government departments must apply through the proper channel and are required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.
