Job Profile

The Manager HSE will be a vital part of the middle management team, ensuring the implementation of HSE procedures and workplace safety protocols/SOPs. The key responsibilities include:

  • Incident and Accident Investigation: Investigating incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes, and recommending preventive measures.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring compliance with safety procedures and ensuring that SOPs are strictly implemented.
  • Coordination with Other Departments: Coordinating with security, fire fighting, medical, and rescue services personnel and departments.

Essential knowledge and skills for this role include a thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and local HSE standards.

Qualification and Experience

To qualify for the Manager HSE position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Requirements:
    • BE/BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
    • Diploma in NEBOSH/IOSH, NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), OSHA Certificate, or another approved Safety/HSE Certificate/Diploma.
    • General Instructor (GI) course from Civil Defense Pakistan.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • At least 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience in occupational HSE. Preference will be given to professionals with experience in power plants.

  • Contract Details: The assignment is purely on a contract basis initially for two years, extendable based on satisfactory performance and applicable rules.
  • Salary Package: A negotiable market-based salary package will be offered, considering the candidate’s qualification and experience.
