Position: Deputy Chief of Party / Senior Technical Director

Location: Karachi or Islamabad (location may be adjusted based on project needs).

Job Responsibilities:

The Deputy Chief of Party/Senior Technical Director will play a critical leadership role, ensuring that the project meets its strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and technical leadership for project activities, ensuring alignment with public health security goals.
  • Overseeing multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral teams to drive results in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Collaborating with government bodies, donors, community organizations, and academic institutions to foster partnerships that enhance health outcomes.
  • Ensuring compliance with USAID regulations, including reporting and adherence to organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in public health, One Health, epidemiology, or animal health, ideally within the Global Health Security framework. Prior experience in Pakistan is strongly preferred.
  • USAID Experience: Proven experience in managing USAID-funded projects, with an in-depth knowledge of USAID compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborative Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, private sectors, donors, and community-based organizations.
