Important Notice: Final Opportunity to Return Bearer Prize Bonds
How to Exchange or Redeem Your Prize Bonds The Government of Pakistan has announced the final deadline of December 31, 2024, for returning specific denominations of bearer prize bonds, namely Rs. 40,000, Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 7,500. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote documentation within the national economy.
Previously, the government had ceased the sale of these bearer prize bonds to support transparency and regulatory compliance. Bondholders who have yet to return or exchange their prize bonds are advised to do so before the deadline.
How to Exchange or Redeem Your Prize Bonds
Prize bonds in denominations of Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 25,000 can be exchanged in one of the following ways:
Premium Prize Bonds (Registered): Convert your bearer bonds to registered premium prize bonds.
Bank Accounts: Redeem your bonds by transferring the amount directly into your bank account.
Special Savings or Defense Savings Certificates: Exchange your prize bonds for these savings certificates.
Important Note
The redemption deadline will not be extended beyond December 31, 2024. After this date, these specific denominations of prize bonds will no longer be eligible for exchange or return.
