HEC Undergraduate Scholarships for Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA: Your Pathway to Higher Education
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is pleased to announce the availability of undergraduate scholarships for the academic year 2024-25. This initiative, part of the “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan & Erstwhile FATA (Phase-III)” Batch-III project, aims to support outstanding students from these regions in pursuing higher education at recognized public and private sector universities or degree-awarding institutions across Pakistan.
Scholarship Details:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: Applicants must be 22 years old or younger as of the closing date of the advertisement.
- Domicile Requirement: Applicants must possess valid domicile or local certificates of Balochistan or erstwhile FATA, verified by district administration.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed 12 years of education (FA/FSC/ICOM/ICS/DAE or equivalent) with at least 60% marks.
- Existing Scholarships: Those already receiving any other HEC or government scholarship are ineligible.
- Result Status: Applicants must have their academic qualifications finalized by the closing date. Students awaiting results are not eligible.
Scholarship and Selection Process:
- Merit and Quota Basis: The distribution ratio for Balochistan and erstwhile FATA is 50:50.
Application Process:
- Online Submission: Applicants must submit their applications online through the HEC website HEC Scholarship Portal.
- Test Fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- must be deposited via 1Link 1Bill invoice through participating banks, ATMs, internet banking, or mobile banking. Follow the instructions on the HEC portal for payment.
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: The last date to submit your online application is October 7, 2024 (Monday).
- Tentative Test Date: The aptitude test for the undergraduate scholarships is scheduled for October 20, 2024 (Sunday).

- Identification: Applicants must present their original CNIC or NADRA-verified Juvenile Card on the test day.
