Government of Sindh Re-designates Over 2,300 High School Teacher Posts
Karachi, Sindh – In a significant move for the provincial education sector, the Government of Sindh’s School Education & Literacy Department has initiated the re-designation of 2,315 High School Teacher (HST) posts to Secondary School Teacher (SST) posts. The grade for these positions will remain BS-16.
Unanimous Recommendation by Service Structure Committee
This re-designation follows a unanimous recommendation by the Service Structure Committee. According to the notification, the committee agreed to the proposal during a meeting held on June 17, 2025. The decision was formally communicated to the School Education & Literacy Department by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department on July 23, 2025.
Region-Wise Breakdown of Re-designated Posts
The re-designation affects a total of 2,315 posts across six regions in Sindh. The distribution is as follows:
