Good News for Wheat Farmers: Sindh Government Announces Free DAP Fertilizer Program for 2025
The Government of Sindh has launched a major initiative to support wheat growers across the province through its “Abadgar Sahita Program 2025.” Under this new scheme, the government will provide free bags of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer to registered farmers to boost wheat cultivation and ensure food security.
This program is designed to assist wheat farmers by reducing their input costs and encouraging a successful harvest. The distribution of fertilizer will be conducted in phases, with each registered farmer receiving one bag of DAP per acre of cultivated land.
Key Program Details
Benefit: One free bag of DAP fertilizer per acre of wheat sown.
Verification: The fertilizer will be provided after a verification process, which will take place three days after sowing.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program, farmers must meet the following requirement:
Land Holding: Must own between one (1) and twenty-five (25) acres of agricultural land.
Registration Process
The registration for the program has already begun and will continue until October. Farmers can register through one of the following three methods:
Agriculture Survey Teams: On-the-ground survey teams from the Agriculture Department will be visiting farms to register eligible growers.
Online Portal: Farmers can register themselves through the official Agriculture Department website.
In-Person at Agriculture Extension Offices: Farmers can visit their nearest Agriculture Extension office to complete the registration process.
Required Documents for Registration
To successfully register, farmers must provide the following documents:
National Identity Card (CNIC): A valid copy of the applicant’s CNIC.
Form VII-B: A copy of the land ownership document (Form VII-B) attested by a competent authority.
