ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Rozan, a leading national non-government and not-for-profit organization dedicated to mental health, gender, and violence against women and children since 1998, has announced an urgent recruitment drive for Enumerators in Sindh Province. Enumerators – Sindh (Districts: Malir, Thatta, Badin, Umerkot & Mirpurkhas)
Number of Positions: 10
Location: 1 Female & 1 Male from each district. This ensures gender balance and local representation in the community development projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates for these NGO jobs in Sindh must meet specific criteria to effectively engage with communities and conduct sensitive research:
Education: A Master’s Degree in social sciences, public health, gender studies, or a related field is preferred. This highlights the need for a strong academic foundation in social sector work.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of Enumerator experience, especially in gender and sensitive fields like Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Violence Against Women (VAW), Gender Equality, Women & Girls Rights. This emphasizes the need for prior research and field experience in critical social issues.
Local Affiliation: Must belong to the same district (Malir, Badin, Thatta, Mirpur Khas, and Umer Kot) to ensure cultural sensitivity and community trust.
Community Knowledge: Knowledge of community services and stakeholders (government, private and CBOs/NGOs) is essential.
Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding and sensitivity on Gender, Women, Children, Transgender, Minorities & PWDs with cultural sensitivity and community respect.
Conduct Research: Ability to travel and conduct field visits in challenging environments.
Local Institutions: Understanding of community networks and local institutions.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are vital. Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, Urdu, Sindhi, or any other local language of the said districts. This is crucial for effective community engagement.
