Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) Jobs 2024 The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (NHSR&C) invites applications from qualified Pakistani nationals to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), as per Section-5 of the DRAP Act, 2012. Position Details
Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
Quota: Merit-based
Qualification & Experience
- Education:
- A postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or Medicine.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in management, pharmaceutical fields, or regulatory affairs.
- Candidates from the public sector with relevant qualifications are preferred.
- In the absence of qualified candidates from the public sector, professionals with similar qualifications and experience from the private sector may apply.
- Age Limit:
- Applicants must be 45 to 56 years old as of the closing date for applications.
Responsibilities
The CEO will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of DRAP, ensuring compliance with:
- The DRAP Act, 2012.
- Rules, regulations, policies, and directives issued by the Policy Board of DRAP or the Federal Government.
- Effective execution of organizational objectives to regulate therapeutic goods in Pakistan.
Terms & Conditions
- Tenure:
- The initial appointment will be for 3 years, extendable for 1 additional year on the recommendation of the DRAP Policy Board.
- Conflict of Interest:
- Candidates must not have financial or professional conflicts of interest.
- Immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, or spouse) must not hold senior positions or ownership in organizations dealing in therapeutic goods.
- A mandatory affidavit regarding Conflict of Interest under Section-18 of the DRAP Act, 2012 must accompany the application.
- Nationality:
- Candidates holding dual nationality are not eligible.
- Performance Evaluation:
- The government reserves the right to periodically evaluate the CEO’s performance against key performance indicators as per the DRAP Act.
