Qualification & Experience
Candidates must meet the following stringent criteria to be considered for this high-level role:
Education:
A minimum of an LLM from an HEC-recognized university or a reputed foreign university.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Law and/or Barrister-at-Law.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of professional experience (for LLM degree holders) or 10 years (for Ph.D. degree holders) in dealing with litigation, adjudication, and the drafting of legal documents in the public or private sector.
The candidate must also have at least 10 years of high court standing.
Professional Credentials:
A deep understanding of the regulatory regime in Pakistan.
Proven experience in legislative drafting, including rules and regulations.
Comprehensive knowledge of competition law, including the Competition Act, 2010, and related jurisprudence.

Key Responsibilities
The Director General (Legal) will be responsible for a wide range of critical legal functions, including:
Rendering advice on legal and regulatory affairs and performing tasks as assigned by the Commission.
Drafting and examining rules, regulations, and other legal instruments.
Providing legal assistance throughout the adjudication process.
Representing the Commission at various judicial forums, including the Competition Appellate Tribunal and High Courts.

Remuneration and General Conditions
Salary Package: A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with the candidate’s qualification, experience, and knowledge.
