Open Positions and Key Requirements

CPGCL is seeking to fill the following seven positions:

1. Chief Engineer/General Manager (Site)

  • Age Limit: 55 years (subject to relaxation for suitable candidates).

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering. A certification in Power Plant Management, Contract Administration, or PMP will be preferred.

  • Experience: At least 15-20 years of relevant experience in power generation, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale generation plant(s). Familiarity with OEM (GE/SIEMENS) systems and NEPRA/CPPA regulations is desired.

2. Manager/Asst. Manager (Operations)

  • Age Limit: 45 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: B.Sc. or B.E in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering with PEC registration. Certification in Power Plant Operations or Dispatch is preferred.

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial operations role in a combined cycle or thermal power plant.

3. Manager/Asst. Manager (Electrical & I&C)

  • Age Limit: 45 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: B.Sc. or B.E. in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering with PEC registration. M.Sc. shall be preferred.

  • Experience: 10-12 years of progressive experience in E&I operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a combined cycle or thermal power plant. Hands-on experience with DCS (e.g., Mark-VI, Emerson, etc.), high voltage systems, and field instrumentation is desirable.

4. Manager/Asst. Manager (Mechanical)

  • Age Limit: 45 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: B.Sc. or B.E in Mechanical Engineering with PEC registration.

  • Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in power plant maintenance, with at least 3-5 years in a combined cycle plant. Hands-on experience with gas/steam turbines, BOP, heat exchangers, and pumps is required.

5. Manager/Asst. Manager (HSE)

  • Age Limit: 45 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering discipline, Environmental Sciences, or Occupational Health & Safety with PEC registration. Certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor (preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in HSE roles, with at least 3-5 years in a power plant or oil & gas sector.

6. Manager/Asst. Manager (Civil)

  • Age Limit: 45 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: B.Sc. or B.E in Civil Engineering with PEC registration.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil maintenance and infrastructure management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience with EPC projects, site development, and contractor supervision is desirable.

7. Admin Assistants

  • Age Limit: 35 years (subject to relaxation).

  • Qualification: Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution. Basic computer training or typing certification is preferred.

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an office/clerical work, preferably in HR or Admin. For the Asst Manager position, a minimum of 1-year postgraduate internship/training in a relevant field is required.
