Syllabus for Written/Screening Test (Assistant B-16)

The written examination comprises a mandatory MCQ test and a Subjective Paper for shortlisted candidates:

  • Subjective Paper (80 Marks):

    1. Essay Writing (English/Urdu): (20 Marks)

    2. English: (20 Marks)

    3. Urdu: (20 Marks)

    4. Pakistan Affairs: (20 Marks)

  • Practical Test (20 Marks): Practical Test of Office Automation on Computer (Only for successful written test candidates).

  • Grand Total: 100 Marks.


General Instructions and Application Procedure

1. Mandatory Online Application

  • All applications for initial recruitment in BPS-16 and above must be submitted online through the BPSC website: www.bpsc.gob.pk.

  • Candidates without internet access are allowed to submit their applications on the prescribed form by hand or by mail to the BPSC office in Quetta.

  • Closing Date: 23rd December, 2025 (Tuesday).

2. Application Fee (Mandatory)

  • Fee: Rs. 800/- for BPS-16 & 17 Posts.

  • Deposit: The amount must be deposited in the State Bank/National Bank of Pakistan or Government Treasury in the province of Balochistan under the Head of Account C02101 ORGAN OF STATE EXAM FEE RECEIPT BPSC.

3. Document Verification (Viva Voce Stage)

  • Candidates called for the Viva Voce Test must furnish one set of attested requisite documents (photographs, CNIC, all degrees/certificates, experience certificates, domicile, etc.) within ten (10) days of the Notice from BPSC.

4. Key Important Notes

  • Age Limit: The general upper age relaxation is up to 43 years, granted by the Government of Balochistan.

  • Experience: Experience will only be considered if gained in a regular, full-time paid job after obtaining the required qualification. Part-time, honorary, apprentice, and internee experience will not be counted.

  • Original Documents: Candidates must preserve the original CNIC and original Treasury Receipt (Green Challan) as they are mandatory for entry into the Examination Halls.
