AJK Medical College Muzaffarabad Announces Faculty Recruitment

The Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Medical College in Muzaffarabad is inviting applications for a range of faculty positions across various departments. This recruitment drive, conducted by the Government of AJK and the Department of Health, seeks to fill contractual positions with highly qualified and experienced professionals to contribute to the growth of medical education in the region.

Available Positions:

Professor
- Departments: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics (Gynae/Obs)
- Pay Package: PKR 425,000/-
Associate Professor
- Departments: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Gynae/Obs, Paediatrics
- Pay Package: PKR 325,000/- (As per PM&DC criteria)
Assistant Professor
- Departments: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Behavioral Sciences, Accident & Emergency
- Pay Package: PKR 200,000/-
Senior Registrar
- Departments: Surgery, Medicine, Gynae/Obs, Paediatrics
- Pay Package: PKR 100,000/-
Demonstrator
- Departments: Basic Sciences
- Pay Package: PKR 100,000/-

Contract Terms and Conditions:

These appointments are on a contract basis for an initial period of three years, which may be extended depending on performance or as specified by the Government of AJK.
Selected faculty members must work at least six hours daily at the college or hospital.
No accommodation will be provided, and selected candidates must be physically present during duty hours.
No TA/DA will be admissible.

Documents Required for Application:

Applicants must submit the following documents within 15 working days after the advertisement:

Attested copies of educational certificates (Matriculation, Intermediate, MBBS, MPhil, FCPS, PhD), experience certificates, articles, and recognition certificates.
A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including a cover letter highlighting the candidate’s suitability for the position.
Four recent attested passport-sized photographs.
Attested photocopies of the CNIC, state subject, and domicile certificates.

Instructions for Candidates from the Department of Health (DoH):

DoH employees currently serving in the teaching hospitals of medical colleges must apply through the proper channels.
Such employees will continue to draw their salary from their respective teaching hospitals, and allowances will be paid as per government policies.
